Adrienne Correll

The Appalachian Music Project Scholarship was created to honor the life of Andrew
“Drew” Douglas Martin (1972-2013). Drew’s life, love of music and heart for the Appalachian
region inspired his wife, Adrienne, to create this award. Drew died a wonderful and accomplished
man in 2013 at the age of 41. He had an infectious lust for life, especially when it came to music.
It is the hope of the founders and donors that Drew’s benevolent spirit and passion for music will
live on through Appalachian Music Project Scholarship.

The vision behind this scholarship fund is to underscore the cultural value of music and
education by encouraging impassioned and hardworking individuals from Eastern Kentucky to
follow their dreams despite economic restraints.
