Amber G. Hill

Amber Philpott is an award-winning news anchor with WKYT in Lexington, KY. Amber is a
native of central Kentucky having grown up in Cynthiana. She graduated summa cum laude from
Morehead State University in 2003. Her broadcast career began shortly after graduation.

Amber has been a part of several award-winning newscasts, has been nominated for a regional
Emmy, and in 2013 was named best news anchor in Kentucky by the Associated Press and honor
she also received in 2009.

Amber is living out her lifelong dream and doing so in her home state that she loves so dearly.
Amber is committed to her community and to giving back. She works with many organizations
including Komen Kentucky, the American Diabetes Association, Girls on the Run and the
Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross. She enjoys running, working out at the gym,
playing golf and spending time with her husband Steve and family.
