Elizabeth M. Colclough

The scholarship was created in memory of Emily Randall Colclough who passed away
unexpectedly Monday, February 28, 2022. Born September 1, 1992 in Lexington, Kentucky, she
was a graduate of The Sayre School in Lexington where she received a College Board Advanced
Placement Scholar Award as a member of The National Honor Society. As a graduate of Sayre
School she was also awarded the Alumni Award at Graduation. She earned a Provost Scholarship
to attend the University of Kentucky where she majored in History and Economics.

Emily enthusiastically garnered new friends in whom she always sustained an abiding interest.
Emily had a deep love for animals and left behind three beloved pets. To honor her love for
animals, her mother, Elizabeth Colclough, established this scholarship fund to support young
students entering into the field of veterinary science who also have a love for animals.
