John C. Price

Pat, a 1966 graduate of Fleming County High School, chose to continue his education at Morehead State
University, where in 1971 he became the first in his family to graduate from college. Pat then taught at
Flemingsburg Elementary for one semester before entering law school. He went on to graduate from the
University of Kentucky College of Law in 1974, after which he returned to Fleming County and practiced
law with the firm of Suit, McCartney, Price, Price & Ruark for 45 years.

Pat, always an advocate for higher education, encouraged members of his family to pursue their dreams,
many of whom chose MSU. Pat remained active with MSU over the years, often attending basketball
games and other sporting events. He was honored to serve the University as a member of its Board of
Regents for 9 years.

Pat took pride in the University and the good it did for him, his family and Eastern Kentucky. To honor his
commitment to education, his family has established this scholarship in his memory.
