Richard Fletcher

This scholarship was created by Richard and Wendy Fletcher to benefit MSU students. Richard
Fletcher is a two-time Morehead State graduate, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1992 and his master’s
degree in 2002. He began his career as a certified athletic trainer for Rowan County Senior High School
from 1993-1997. Fletcher returned to his alma mater in 2001 and served in several roles including Head
Certified Athletic Trainer, Athletic Training Director, and the Deputy Director of Athletics at MSU.

Wendy Fletcher is a nurse practitioner and legal nurse consultant in Morehead, and received her
bachelor’s degree in nursing from MSU in 1994. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing as a
family nurse practitioner from the University of Kentucky, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from
Texas Christian University. Wendy serves on the MSU Alumni Association Board of Directors,
volunteers for numerous healthcare and educational causes, and is an active member of the local, regional
and statewide community.
